The various "date codes" on Rozenburg (1883-1917) plateel; page 2 / 5
From 1885 until June 1889 Rozenburg used the so called "WFG" mark.
WFG is an abbreviation for Wilhelm Wolff Freiherr von Gudenberg. who was its founder.
Note:
The letters A till E were used as year code to indicate the (production) year.
Names such as "blaaufond" or "allerlei Tulp" tell us that it was designed by Colenbrander.
The initials F.v.D. (F. van Dunkelman) can be found on almost all types of "ginger pots".
Other markings such as arrows and "dots" were used as personal decorator signatures.
A numeral, on the other hand, indicates its production number.
